Dr. Assia Riccioni

Assia Riccioni is a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Consultant within the Italian National Health System, currently working at the Child and Adolescent Neuropsychiatry Unit of the University Hospital Policlinico Tor Vergata in Rome, Italy. Her clinical and research interests focus primarily on psychiatry and neurodevelopmental disorders, with a particular emphasis on Autism.

Her work centers on the early identification of co-occurring psychiatric and medical conditions in individuals with autism. In 2023, she completed a Ph.D. in Neuroscience, with a dissertation investigating the co-occurrence of Autism and Attenuated Psychotic Syndrome.

Beyond her clinical and academic activities, Dr. Riccioni has been actively involved in professional education and training. She is a member of the local organizing committee for the ESCAP-endorsed Residential Course in Catania, Italy (www.residentialcourse.com), now in its fifth edition. She also contributes to national professional development as a member of the Psychiatric Section of the Italian Society of Child and Adolescent Neuropsychiatry (SINPIA), collaborating with peers to promote advancements in youth mental health care across Italy.
