The 2025 Research Academy took place on 27-28 June 2025 in Strasbourg at the Nouvel Hôpital Civil. The theme was "The effects of psychological trauma on the brain: from mechanisms to early intervention". We would like to thank ESCAP 2025 Congress President Carmen Schröder and Stras&ND for generously hosting us. Many thanks also to our speakers:

The aim of the Research Academy is to promote research excellence and collaborative work among young clinician scientists in the field of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (CAP). ESCAP wishes to support early careers by promoting training, encouraging collaborations and by providing a forum to share experiences with senior world leading researchers.
The 2-day meeting was chaired by Professors Paul Klauser and Alexis Revet, two clinician-scientists under the auspice of the ESCAP Academic Division. Attendees are asked to collaborate within a network after the meeting to tackle a research question at the European level (see some examples here: Revet et al. Eur Child Adolesc Psychiatr 2018; Barrett et al. Eur Child Adolesc Psychiatr 2020; Revet et al. Eur Child Adolesc Psychiatry 2021a; Revet et al. Eur Child Adolesc Psychiatry 2021b).
Registration for the Research Academy is free. Attendees will have to cover their own travel and accommodation expenses.
